Bowral High Musical 2018 !!

Bowral High is set to rock the Highlands in May 2018 with a whole school musical production: The Great Australian Rock Musical, a fun show with loads of Aussie humour and a ton of great Australian classic rock songs. Student auditions are being held during Week 8 and 9 of Term 4, starting with general cast/ensemble member auditions on Monday 27/11 at recess and lunch in the Performing Arts Space. New Uniform Supplier for 2018

Starting from Term 2, 2018 the school will have a new uniform supplier. For the past 30 years Mimosa have been our partners and have done an excellent job in supplying our uniforms and meeting the needs of Bowral High students and their families. Come play this summer

These holidays, school playgrounds at 42 NSW public schools will be open for neighbours and others to enjoy under a NSW Government initiative to broaden community recreation and open space options. Schools in the program will be open from 8am to 6pm from 23 December to the end of the school holidays in late January. Showcase 2017

Showcase 2017

Stage 4 students have been busy in their project classes this semester. To celebrate their work we are holding a Market Stall Showcase. We would like to invite you to come and view the exciting work students have been creating. Showcase 2017 will be held on Thursday 30th November from 12 noon until 1.30pm. 2018 Resource Allocation Model funding

In October 2017, all NSW public schools will receive a 2018 Planned School Budget Allocation Report. The report will assist with the management of the total budget delivered to schools through the Resource Allocation Model (RAM). The Resource Allocation Model (RAM) methodology distributes funding based on the individual needs of students and schools. This gives schools greater flexibility to make local decisions. BHS Interact Has Great News

The Interact goal of raising $20,000 for our Cambodian Sister school is being supported and shared by the SRC, The Interact Club, and the members of the recent trip to Cambodia. This will make our goal easier to achieve and gives an opportunity for the students to help a cause that many of them feel emotionally attached to. NDIS continues its roll out across NSW

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) started in NSW in July 2016, rolling out across half of the state. The rollout for the rest of NSW started on 1 July 2017 and the NDIS will be fully rolled out by mid 2018. The NSW government is writing to the families of children and young people with disability who currently receive disability supports in the rollout areas to advise how and when they will enter the NDIS. Congratulations Eligh Morris Year 12 2017

Eligh represented BHS in the schools National Cross Country. He hopped off a plane from Italy after running in the world mountain running championships in which he came 36th then onto one to Tasmania where he placed 5th in Australia, in doing so he received a gold medal for the team. Then two day laters he received a silver in the relays - all whilst battling jetlag! What a display of sportsmanship!... Read more

NSW schools will participate in the NAPLAN Online School Readiness Test from 14 August to 22 September. There is a lot of information for schools, students and parents on the NAPLAN Online transition website. The school readiness test is a ‘practice run' for schools to assess their technology as we prepare to transition to NAPLAN Online.
