Bowral High School has been a part of my life since 1990 when I first started teaching here as a classroom teacher in English, leaving at the end of 2001 for promotion positions at other schools. My two sons also successfully completed their secondary education at Bowral High. Returning to the school as Principal in 2010 was a privilege and I honour my role every day. This is my school and I am proud of it.
My number one priority is the students. Every decision I make considers their needs and how best to support them. I enjoy spending time with students and am often inspired by their stories.
I also work with a great team of staff. We all want our school to be a place where our students are happy and can learn. This is our priority and is encapsulated in our commitment to building positive relationships with students that support them to learn and achieve their best.
The staff is supported to engage in ongoing professional learning, dialogue and reflection to ensure that they have the skills to prepare students for life and work in the 21st century. Our parents and community participate in the school by providing feedback that is valued and used for continuous improvement.
The school has a long and proud tradition in the local community where we have many connections. Our strength is our inclusivity that is reflected in our school motto:
Exceptional learning opportunities for all.
Please come in and see us- you are very welcome.
